I’m happy to report that App Stop 2.1 is almost complete and will probably be released within the next week or so. The main development focus in 2.1 was the user-interface. 2.1 contains alot of user interface enhancements that I’ve wanted to put in App Stop for a long time, but never had the chance. I’m very happy with the results and cant wait to get it out to the public.
I’ve decided to keep the discounted upgrade pricing up for the next week. If you haven’t gotten a chance to get discounted pricing on App Stop if you were a user of previous versions of App Stop, nows your chance!
I’ve recently discovered osx.iusethis.com, a unique site that allows you create a profile of which apps you use. Once you’ve selected which application you use the site will suggest similar apps as well as suggest new applications that you might want to try out. Its sort of a fusion of macupdate.com & digg.com; allowing users/developers to post updates to applications as well as voice which applications they think are most useful (ones that they use regularly). I’ve created a profile for myself, as well as added App Stop and iDictionary to the site; if you havent heard of the site before, check it out, it is really neat!
